My motto: “If you see a gap, fill it!”
MyMetroBaby was created to bridge the gap between cloth diaper manufacturers/retailers and the average person. When I became pregnant, I knew I wanted to use cloth diapers, but didn’t have a clue about them. Naturally, I started researching it out and what I found was a maze of sites that offered products online, but all I got were brief descriptions and one-dimensional photos. There are some great informational sites, but they mostly rate products that I had never seen and directed me to more online stores. I felt a bit lost until I accidentally found a store in Vancouver, BC that sold fitted cloth diapers and pre-folds, along with lots of accessories and cleaning products. The ladies were wonderful, knowledgeable, and gave me “a lesson” on the different products and how they were used. That’s when the light bulb went on! Let’s build a site that tells people where they can go to actually explore the different cloth diapering products and support their local economy. The idea has snowballed and it keeps getting bigger! My hope is that this site and the workshops I offer will help and encourage you in your cloth diapering experience. They really are worth it.
